Volunteer: Prayer Warriors

Are you someone who feels called to encourage others through prayer?

As a Prayer Warrior, you’ll receive meaningful prayer requests connected to WorkFaith and have the opportunity to lift up our clients, staff, and mission in a powerful way. You’ll also be invited to join a Zoom prayer gathering led by our Prayer Warrior Lead, where we come together in community to pray with purpose and intention.

This opportunity takes place twice a month on Thursday for about 15-30 minutes. Once you sign up, the Prayer Warrior Lead will reach out via email to invite you to the next prayer meeting that is held over Zoom.

Volunteer: Community Partner Recruiter

What: In this opportunity, as an advocate for WorkFaith, you will be supporting us in community outreach by engaging by phone with potential partners. You will be responsible for researching and reaching out to organizations that align with WorkFaith's goals and values. The aim is to help us build partnerships and expand our reach in the community. If you enjoy connecting with people and would like to make a meaningful impact in the community by connecting organizations with WorkFaith's job readiness training and coaching and professional development, our Community Partner Recruiter position is a great fit for you!

When & Where: Business Hours (8am-4pm) Weekdays; Remote

Time Commitment: Weekly, 3 hours (Flexible Schedule)

Persona: This volunteer is experienced in sales or recruiting and enjoys using their social skills to connect with new people. They have a deep understanding about the mission WorkFaith which they use to advocate for our clients within the community.

Volunteers are invited to come to one of our WorkFaith locations to share a short testimony about their volunteer experience. During this time, we will record a brief video testimony, take a photo, and collect a short quote or a few sentences. Participation in the video is optional.

These stories may be featured in our newsletter, on social media, and on our volunteer platform.

What to expect:

A short visit to a WorkFaith location

A few sentences about your volunteer experience

A photo taken on site

An optional brief video testimony (you may opt out)

You will be there with a WorkFaith employee and help to speak with potential clients, volunteers, or anyone interested in learning more about WorkFaith. You will be helping to spread the mission of WorkFaith to the next generation or anyone attending the college fair.

The Community Engagement Ambassador position strengthens WorkFaith’s presence in the community by helping us build awareness and connect with individuals and potential partner organizations who may benefit from our programs. Community Engagement Ambassadors will represent WorkFaith at resource fairs, outreach events, and in everyday interactions, sharing our mission and introducing people to the opportunities we offer.

By engaging with community members, partners, and local organizations, Community Engagement Ambassadors help expand our reach and support our mission of empowering individuals through faith-based job readiness training. Their involvement ensures consistent visibility for WorkFaith and creates meaningful connections that benefit both our clients and the broader community.

When you sign up, the Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a quick Zoom meeting. After that, you will get in contact with the Partnership Specialist to learn more about the role and events you may go to. When opportunities come up, the Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you for availability. Ambassadors will be asked to join our Manager of Partnerships, Partnership Specialist, or another WorkFaith staff member, to attend these events.
