Volunteer: Volunteer Coordinator Intern

We are seeking a proactive and organized Volunteer Coordinator Intern to support our Volunteer Department. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in nonprofit operations, volunteer management, training, and small-scale event coordination.

When: 1-2 days per week, 4-8 hours per shift (flexible scheduling based on availability)

Where: 4555 Dacoma St. Houston, TX 77092

What: The intern will play a key role in assisting with a variety of responsibilities including:

Creating onboarding/training materials for new volunteersRunning the behind the scenes Zoom portion of our mock interviewsHelping process new volunteers through Discover Your Volunteer Fit Zoom meetingsSupport volunteer event preparation such as creating name badges, printing materials, and setting up participant spacesAssist with Volunteer Department projects, office administrative tasks (data entry, printing, organizing, and filing)Create flyers and handouts for the volunteers

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and attention to detailComfortable using Zoom and virtual meeting toolsBasic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applicationsCreative eye for design and ability to assist with creating flyers or handouts using CanvaStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and manage time effectivelyWillingness to learn, take initiative, and support a variety of projectsInterest in nonprofit work, volunteer coordination, or program operations is a plus!

This internship offers hands-on experience in volunteer coordination, event support, and administrative operations while directly contributing to the success and growth of WorkFaith's Volunteer Department.

This is an unpaid internship.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable volunteer to support our team in preparing for our REED Job Search Accelerator (JSA) classes.

When: Twice a month on Thursdays, ideally for 2 hours between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM

Where: Our Star of Hope Office @ 2575 Reed Rd., Houston, TX 77051

What: The intern will assist with light administrative tasks to help ensure our classes are set up for success. Responsibilities include creating table tents and name badges, setting up participant desks with folders and class materials, and preparing attendance records for reporting. Additional administrative support may be needed as well.

Qualifications:

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordStrong attention to detail and organizationAbility to follow instructions and manage time effectivelyComfortable with data entry and light administrative tasksGood communication skills and willingness to assist where needed
