We are seeking a proactive and organized Volunteer Coordinator Intern to support our Volunteer Department. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in nonprofit operations, volunteer management, training, and small-scale event coordination.
When: 1-2 days per week, 4-8 hours per shift (flexible scheduling based on availability)
Where: 4555 Dacoma St. Houston, TX 77092
What: The intern will play a key role in assisting with a variety of responsibilities including:
- Creating onboarding/training materials for new volunteers
- Running the behind the scenes Zoom portion of our mock interviews
- Helping process new volunteers through Discover Your Volunteer Fit Zoom meetings
- Support volunteer event preparation such as creating name badges, printing materials, and setting up participant spaces
- Assist with Volunteer Department projects, office administrative tasks (data entry, printing, organizing, and filing)
- Create flyers and handouts for the volunteers
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using Zoom and virtual meeting tools
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications
- Creative eye for design and ability to assist with creating flyers or handouts using Canva
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support a variety of projects
- Interest in nonprofit work, volunteer coordination, or program operations is a plus!
This internship offers hands-on experience in volunteer coordination, event support, and administrative operations while directly contributing to the success and growth of WorkFaith's Volunteer Department.
